Counsellors can help if:

you are having personal problems that are impacting your academic progress or overall wellness,
you are experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges,
you are unsure what you can do to make a successful transition to college life at CNA,
you are feeling overwhelmed with your courseload,
you are not sure if your program choice is the right fit for you,
you need help understanding college policies and procedures,
you need support in creating an academic improvement or success plan (e.g., peer tutoring, study skills sessions),
you are unsure about the next steps in your career plan after graduating from CNA,
you are experiencing other difficulties that are impacting your well-being or success.

Involvement in the counselling process may help you resolve or better manage your problems or concerns. Once these concerns are under greater control you may be able to focus more clearly on your educational pursuits with fewer distractions, and increase your success as a student.

Counsellors at College of the North Atlantic provide individual and/or group counselling to current students.
Counsellors at College of the North Atlantic can also provide career and academic counselling to prospective students by appointment.

Each campus has either a professional counsellor or another Student Services professional to assist you.
